Camaro Convertible Down Under

Better looking than the coupe? Its close.

Better looking than the coupe? It's close.

A mule of the soft top Camaro was caught in Australia this week, showing Holden’s influence over the car’s development. Depending on who you ask, the convertible may look even better than the hardtop that was just introduced. Keeping a profile that is almost identical, the convertible gives up nothing in the way of style, but gains a whole lot in the way of fun. And if the Corvette convertible is anything to go by, cutting the roof off shouldn’t have a terribly negative effect on the handling. As long as the price stays low, it’s possible the convertible might outsell the hardtop, at least below the Mason-Dixon line. An additional detail is the intake just below the hood, suggesting that this is an SS mule.
