The VW 1 Liter car is a concept developed in 2002 with the sole purpose of going 100 km on a single liter of gasoline. If this car does in fact enter production, as the recent rumors have said, VW may not have to worry about CAFE standards for a while. Just 50,000 of these per year would offset the entire brand’s mileage!
